Channa Masala is delicious side dish for chappati and Batura.

Ingredients
Channa / Chickpea - 1 cup
Onions - 2
Tomatoes - 2
Ginger - 1" piece
Cumin seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
Garam Masala powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Chilli powder - 1 teaspoon
Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
Salt - to taste
Oil - 5-6 tablespoons
Jaggery - 1

Preparing Method
1. Wash & soak the Channa overnight. Pressure cook for 20 min
2. Grind a handful of the cooked channa, ginger, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, chilli powder, garam masala to a fine paste
3. Heat a pan with 2 tablespoons of oil and fry the onions and tomatoes until the light brown.
4. Now heat the pan with oil and add the onion-tomato paste. To this add the ground masala, salt and the cooked channa. Mix well and allow it to cook until it thickens like a gravy
5. Garnish with sliced onions, coriander leaves, green chilli slits and tomato slices. Serve Channa Masala with Batura, Puri, Chola Puri, Naan, etc.,
This very good for health and easy to cook also.
